PRIDE IN THE PLAZA

It’s Montgomery County Pride in the Plaza on Sunday, June 28th, 11am-5pm at Veterans Plaza in downtown Silver Spring! This annual celebration brings together LGBTQIA+ community members, families, allies, performers, local organizations, and vendors for a full day centered on authenticity, visibility, joy, and collective pride.
Consider volunteering with us at the table. It’s a meaningful way to be part of the day, show your support, and help represent Temple Emanuel at one of Montgomery County’s signature Pride events.

Temple Emanuel is thrilled to welcome Cantor Emily Short as she leads her first Shabbat with our community on Friday, July 10 at 6:30 PM.
We look forward to experiencing her warmth, spirit, and beautiful voice as she joins our Temple Emanuel family. Come meet Cantor Short, celebrate Shabbat together, and help us give her a heartfelt welcome!

POSTCARD WRITING

Write postcards to under-represented voters in key states for the upcoming midterm election!
Working with the WRJ and the Religious Action Center, we provide the cards, addresses, non-partisan messages, and will have stamps available for purchase.
Our first get-together will be on July 15th at 10:00 am in HaMakom. We will then meet July 29th and then every first and third Wednesday through September.
