Our clergy are delighted to work with you each step of your conversion journey. The first step is setting up a meeting with Rabbi Adam or Cantor Lindsay. Each journey is different, but they usually consist of regular meetings with our clergy, taking an Introduction to Judaism Course, becoming involved in some form with Temple Emanuel, and experiencing Shabbat, holidays, and lifecycle events over the course of a year. When you and the clergy feel you are ready, they will guide you through the rituals of conversion; the Beit Din (a panel of 3 knowledgeable Jews who will discuss the conversion with you), mikvah (the ritual immersion), and a welcoming ceremony.
