Shabbat Receptions

Team Up with the Temple on Our New & Improved Shabbat Receptions!

CALLING ALL KITCHEN MAVENS!

We are welcoming congregants to sign up for Friday afternoon shifts to help put together the prozdor or oneg offerings, along with Executive Director Alissa Miller, and some support from the custodial staff. Rather than ordering prepared platters, which are expensive and lack variety, we have been compiling a variety of items each week and putting out an assortment of goodies. We could use some extra hands, as well as some kitchen creativity, in this effort. If you like to bake, please also consider signing up to contribute a home-baked item – as long as it is nut-free!!

The plattering takes place at 4 pm on Friday afternoons, although alternative arrangements can be made if necessary. The items to be plattered are purchased each week and stored in the Temple kitchen (cheese, fruit and veggies in the refrigerator; crackers and chips in one of the cabinets; cookies and cakes are in the freezer). It is meant to be a team effort, but there are occasional Fridays when Temple staff is not available and congregant volunteers are especially needed (those dates – if known in advance – are noted). Please feel free to reach out to Alissa Miller at amiller@templeemanuelmd.org with any questions or ideas.

Please email Alissa Miller at amiller@templeemanuelmd.org if interested.

Are you or your children celebrating a wedding, engagement or new baby? You can also sponsor an upcoming prozdor or oneg or Saturday morning reception in honor of your simcha.
