CONGREGANTS are invited to sign-up to serve as an usher for Shabbat and festival services.
The Brotherhood recruits volunteer ushers for Temple Emanuel’s Erev Shabbat and Festival Services.
Ushering is an enjoyable way to be a special part of the service: welcoming each congregant entering the sanctuary; opening the doors during the last verse of L’Cha Dodi; helping worshippers access what they need to comfortably participate; and serving as a point person for members and guests with questions.
All members of the congregation are welcome to sign up to usher in-person at Erev Shabbat or Festival services.
No need to worry if this would be your first ushering experience. Ushering instructions will be shared with all volunteers. You can contact the Brotherhood Ushering coordinator, Ian DeWaal, with any questions.
