Madeline Lowitz Gold, Director, Early Childhood Center, is a long-time professional in the field of Jewish Early Childhood Education. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University and took graduate courses at the University of Maryland.
At Temple Emanuel, she has established a model program based on the pedagogical philosophy of Reggio Emilia and on her strong belief in that philosophy that considers all children to have great potential, curiosity, and interest in learning.
Madeline is part of a select group of early childhood educators who attended the first Jewish study seminar in Reggio Emilia, Italy. She is co-chair of the Early Childhood Director’s Council of the PJLL and is on the board of the National Association of Jewish Early Childhood Educators. She is also a member of the National American Reggio Emilia Alliance and the National Association of the Education of Young Children. Madeline was a JCC professional for many years and also has a professional background in public relations, writing, and editing.
Madeline is married to Martin Gold, an attorney, and has two grown children, Daniel and Aliza.
