| School Receives Excellence Award |
| The Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning has evaluated Temple Emanuel’s Religious School. As a result, the school will receive an Educational Excellence Award and grant for its commitment to excellence in education.

| Special Needs Children |
Please note that accommodations are made for special needs children, specifically, teachers who are available onsite to assist them. Accommodations are also made for the service, including a single B’nai Mitzvah. Private tutoring is acceptable and some funding support may be available. Children can also use Beth El and the JCC for program support. Our religious school will handle each situation individually, though it is desirable to have the student onsite for some of the Judaica learning. Parents with questions or concerns should contact Dr. Eshel at Itzik.Eshel@TempleEmanuelmd.org or by calling the school office at (301) 942-6011.

| School Trip Funds Available |
School trips are an exciting enrichment activity for students, but they can be costly. For children who would have difficulty with the cost of a planned Religious School trip, the Temple Emanuel Brotherhood offers financial aid. Students may request a grant by sending a letter to Kenny Karbeling at kennyk9999@comcast.net or Dan Gerecht of our Brotherhood.

The school board has a group email address: RSB@templeemanuelmd.org. If a member of the congregation would like to email the school committee as a group, please do not hesitate.
The School Board welcomes all communication and input. Additionally, our meetings are open meetings; we intend to meet the 2nd Sunday of each month, and you are welcome and encouraged to attend any meeting.
