What's New

At a time when some religious communities are bitterly divided over issues of GLBT rights and inclusion, the Union for Reform Judaism has published a major revision of its 10-year-old guide on welcoming individuals into our religious community regardless of sexual orientation. With more than 500 pages of updated information, Kulanu: A Program for Implementing Gay and Lesbian Inclusion is an important resource and a testament to the Reform Movement’s commitment to full participation for all. Included in the manual are curricula on gender diversity and on Reform Jewish views on same-gender marriage, model ceremonies for same-gender union ceremonies, coming-out prayers, and blessings for transitioning genders.

The Kulanu Committee has donated a copy of the new Kulanu manual to the Temple Library. Copies may be ordered from the URJ website at Kulanu (All of Us)
