The Brotherhood is first and foremost a service arm of the Temple. It is open to all men of the Temple and all are invited to join. Annual dues are $36. The first year’s membership for New Temple adult male members are complementary. Through dues and fund raising efforts, Brotherhood supports KESTY and Temple youth through learning grants, grants for religious school trips and gifts to B’nai Mitzvot and confirmands, and we sponsor a parent-child dinner. We are perhaps most visible at the Sunday Brunches and dinners we sponsor throughout the year which always feature outstanding speakers and which are open to all congregants.
Besides the Brunches and other social activities mentioned above Brotherhood also supports the Temple softball team, provides ushers for services, and sponsors a monthly poker game at the home of one of its members. Brotherhood Board meetings are held at 7:30pm, the first Wednesday of each month. All Brotherhood members as well as those interested in joining are invited to attend.

| School Trip Funds Available! |

School trips are an exciting enrichment activity for students, but they can be costly. For children who would have difficulty with the cost of a planned Religious School trip, the Temple Emanuel Brotherhood offers financial aid. Students may request a grant by sending a letter addressed to either Neil Blickman or Mr.Dan Gerecht at:

| Brotherhood Softball Team |
Our Softball team plays in the Montgomery County Synagogue softball league, which fields teams from many of the regions reform, conservative and orthodox synagogues. The games are for fun, but competitive. We need players! No prior experience necessary! Interested Temple Emanuel adult males who would like to play should contact Bob Hausman at 301-570-9665.
