John has been a member of Temple Emanuel for fifteen years. In that time he has served as Brotherhood treasurer, ARZA chair, Temple Treasurer, and was on the search committee for a new executive director. He is also on the national board of ARZA and is an immediate past president of ARZA's mid-Atlantic region.

John was born and educated in England, and holds degrees in physics and computer science. He is married and the father of three grown children. JOhn enjoys reading, music, and travel, visiting England and Israel frequently.
